Kay-Ann Henry is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, who is now based in Miami, Florida. Their artistic practice is deeply rooted in a love of memory and culture, and they convey this through poetry, journalism, photography, and zine-making. Her work is also deeply entrenched in queer and third-world womanist politics and driven by Nina Simone’s words: “An artist's duty, as far as I'm concerned, is to reflect the times.”
